Combermere School is certainly one of the oldest, if not the oldest, secondary school in Barbados. The foundation stone at the present site cast the origins of Combermere School to 1819. Research takes its origins back to Drax's will of 1682.

The Combermere School Old Scholars Association (CSOSA) is deeply saddened at the passing of our beloved Prime Minister, the Hon David Thompson on the eve of celebrations to mark Combermere Week 2010.

On behalf of the Combermere School Parent Teachers Association (P.T.A.), it is my distinct pleasure as President, to be associated with this noble school, Combermere, which has been in existence for over three hundred years.
